ADVANCING AGE OR LACK OF TAPE? THE CURIOUS CASE OF ROTHNZ THE FALLING GOAT…

Image
After a podium-less first half of the season in one of the best cars of the grid, Ferrari driver Rothnz seemed very much off the pace of his extraordinary career… While memories of him taping his Fanatec and starting his era of domination seem to slowly fade away, A1881 Insider asked the long time racing friends of the GOAT, if they think he is now too old for top level racing… Here are some comments from the A1881 Veterans on the saddening situation of A1881 Legend… Dan the Man, who is one of the all time most consistent drivers of A1881 along with Ibbo, and a WDC Bronze medal owner, have been racing with Rothnz for over 10+ seasons. He does not seem to be very optimistic about the situation, and doubts "if there is enough tape in the world to save this career"… Dan: I was shocked to see him in red. Assumed he would win without competition... Yet he's still without a podium. So this shows the GOAT days are gone!? Poor guy... Is there enough tape left to fix this care...

NAEDANGERDAVID WINS TOUGH RACE AROUND LAS VEGAS WHILE ENDRU CLIMBS BACK ON TOP!

Image
Las Vegas GP brought some late drama with David capitalising on the safety car in his Aston, while Endru claims unexpected second place in Mercedes, just a nose ahead of Mejg’s VisaRB… Rian was on pole at race start and his Aston pulled away together with Justin in McLaren, until the first safety car appeared on Lap 14, after Bhavish’s retirement.   This brought the other title contenders back into the picture and second stint was breathtaking with 6 of them within DRS of each other, after David, Rothnz, Endru and Mejg joined the duo of Rian and Justin. David was right behind his leading teammate when Justin eggplanted himself once more. He was the quicker of Astons in this last stint on soft tyres and he was able to pull away when the last SC left track only 2 laps to go. This gave David his second A1881 win, and a good shot on the title as we pass halfway through the season: David: Tough race around Las Vegas. Apart from a small error on T1 Lap 1, it was a very strong race from...

AA_MEJG GETS A CONTROVERSIAL SPA WIN ALONG WITH THE LEAD IN CHAMPIONSHIP!

Image
AA_Mejg in VisaRB wins Belgium GP after a late SC and a controversial incident with Endru in final lap, thanks to the time penalty of Jordan who was classified as second despite being ahead on track. Dunce filled podium to make Visa RB the team of the week… Jordan once more had an amazing time to start on pole and was leading comfortably in his Alpine, until the safety car triggered by Selecta’s crash entered the scene. He still had the pace after the SC but received a 3 seconds penalty for track limits. Meanwhile AA_Mejg was battling with Endru and right before the back straight they had a contract which pushed Endru to P5 and gave Mejg the win. He was not very much happy to get the win this way and made it clear in his short interview, reportedly even offering being classified behind Endru for fair play… AA_Mejg: Thank you, but it's not the way I wanted to win a race... I didn't deserve to win this one. I've had PS5 issues lately and today I experienced lag for most of ...

JORDAN WINS AT HUNGARY AND JOINS TITLE PARTY!

Image
Jordan reached his first win this season in Alpine, despite finishing behind Rian’s Aston Martin on track, after deduction of Rian’s penalty. Naedangerdavid completed Aston double podium… Jordan clinched pole on a drying track in Q3, and pulled away with his Alpine in first stint on hards. Rian tried the undercut which worked quite good and caught Jordan after pits. Last laps could have been much more exciting if Rian did not receive a 3 seconds penalty for track limits. After this Jordan seemed to play it safe and reached finish line right behind of Rian, to be classified as the winner. This brought Jordan back into the title fight and Rian on top of the standings to replace Endru who has been occupying the lead since day 1 on 24 game. Naedanger played the team game and Aston strengthened their lead in WCC. Jordan kept his interview short and down to facts: Jordan: The race was fine, the car had decent pace but not great and I really had to drive perfectly to get the win today. Th...

RIAN PICKS UP THE ALIEN PACE AND WINS BRAZIL GP!

Image
Rian reached his first Aston Martin win after a well controlled race. AA_Mejg was the driver to follow him closely in Visa RB. Champion Endru came third in Mercedes… Race began with Jordan’s amazing pole once more and in dry conditions. Transition to wet and then back to dry forced drivers to mistakes and Jordan’s slight mistake in pit exit combined with Codemasters brilliance left him out of the race, while he was seeming to be the favourite for the race. This left Rian to battle with the other Swede AA_Mejg and he was able to control the race to reach his first win in Aston this season along with his first interview: Rian: Finally back after so long! Well firstly I wasn’t expecting much coming into this race as I’d very little practice thinking the race was an hour later than it was, somehow I was in the fight for pole, but Jordan pipped me with a great lap, got off to a decent start, Jordan, Fortuna and I raced well together and pulled a gap to to the cars behind, a few safety c...
