AA_MEJG TRIUMPHS IN JAPAN AS ALPINE CONTINUES TO DOMINATE

Image
The A1881 League delivered another electrifying race in Round 3 at the iconic Suzuka Circuit, Japan. The championship fight heated up, but it was AA_Mejg who once again rose above the field, securing a commanding victory for Alpine. Following him were Bhavish in Mercedes and Endru in VisaRB... Champion Mejg had a relatively easy one, after retirement of his rival Jordan and extended his lead in championship. He was to be reached for the interview after 24 hours of partying, and told these: Mejg: I'm happy to take the win and the fastest lap today, especially considering how it benefits me in the championship standings now that my closest rivals had a tough day. I started on the front row on the hard tires. I knew it would be tough to keep up with Jordan on mediums in the first few laps, but was hoping to have a strong last stint later on in the day. However, the first safety came out at the wrong time so all of us who started on hards were in a bad spot since our new mediums would ...

The second round of the A1881 League at the Portugal GP delivered another action-packed race, where Jordan seized his first win of the season in dramatic fashion. After a rollercoaster of a race, he now ties reigning champion AA_Mejg at the top of the standings, while Aston Martin’s Rothnz and McLaren’s Gordini shared a long-awaited podium together... Starting from P8 and clocking the fastest lap, Jordan’s determination overcame a tough early stint. His resilience paid off, as he surged through the field to secure the top step of the podium for Williams. Jordan: "Well qualifying went shockingly, probably my worst in 1881. Never quite got in tune with the Williams in the wet. The race was a bit of a rollercoaster. Got a bit tangled up in the midfield early on and lost time, and really had to push hard to re-attach myself to the lead DRS train. Then later things started to go my way; leaders started fighting, incidents, and good pace on old mediums set me up to have a strong finish...

AA_MEJG TRIUMPHS IN IMOLA AS A1881 SEASON 17 KICKS OFF

The A1881 League roared into action with a thrilling opener at Imola, with champion Mejg on top and VisaRB filling the podium with Endru and David... Reigning champion AA_Mejg delivered a commanding performance to take the top spot in his Alpine. His victory marks a strong start to his title defense as he seeks to replicate last season’s triumph. "A great start to the season for sure! The car felt good around Imola and even though I knew it would be challenging, I carried confidence from last season's victory. Both qualifying and the race showed that we'll have even more drivers fighting for the top spots (alongside 'the big five' from season 16), which is very interesting. Was surprised that I got pole without practicing. Having just one lap before the rain appeared in Q3 gave quali that little extra excitement in my opinion. Anyway, I enjoyed battling with Mirko and David lap after lap, it was sad to see them collide on the last lap. Good race that I'll enjoy...
