JORDAN WINS AT HUNGARY AND JOINS TITLE PARTY!
Jordan reached his first win this season in Alpine, despite finishing behind Rian’s Aston Martin on track, after deduction of Rian’s penalty. Naedangerdavid completed Aston double podium…
Jordan clinched pole on a drying track in Q3, and pulled away
with his Alpine in first stint on hards. Rian tried the undercut which worked
quite good and caught Jordan after pits. Last laps could have been much more
exciting if Rian did not receive a 3 seconds penalty for track limits. After
this Jordan seemed to play it safe and reached finish line right behind of
Rian, to be classified as the winner. This brought Jordan back into the title
fight and Rian on top of the standings to replace Endru who has been occupying
the lead since day 1 on 24 game. Naedanger played the team game and Aston
strengthened their lead in WCC. Jordan kept his interview short and down to facts:
Jordan: The race was fine, the car had decent pace but not great and I really had to drive perfectly to get the win today. Thankfully no game bugs came in the way today at least!
AA_Mejg didn’t seem to enjoy his ride a lot on this track in his VisaRB and finished right behind the podium, ahead of his countryman Rothnz in Ferrari. Endru the champion struggled a lot throughout the race and eventually settled for P6, to cost him the lead in championship. He was followed by Tvoje in Redbull, taking a good result in his first reserving this season. Rollie had a calm and incident-free race, to bring him P8 in Mercedes. Dunce followed and gave a hard time to Rollie especially after the pits, but lost a bit of pace towards the end of the race and finished P9. TarkanGino finally was able to finish a race this season in McLaren, getting rid of 3 eggplants at once with P10. Bhavish finished P11 in his Ferrari, after breaking a wing at first laps and serving his well deserved quali ban… On the positive side he was declared as the driver of the day… Good going Bhavi… Infinity finished his first race as a reserve in A1881 in Haas, becoming the first ever driver from Japan to race in A1881… Behind him was Selecta the Dutch legend, coming P13 in his Williams. He was followed by Crayonflower also doing his A1881 debut with Sauber, ahead of his reserve teammate NBA_Mj, wildcarding for Slowfiveohh. Gordini had a terrible race and finished P16 in Alpine after many incidents. P17 was Varea, also finishing his first race in Haas this season and getting rid of 4 eggplants at once. Crunchypancake in McLaren claimed the last point of the race, by coming 18th.
Mirko dnfed on Lap 34 in Williams and Sir Ibbo finished 3
laps behind in RedBull. Both have managed to join the club of very few drivers
in A1881 history, to be classified in end results as completed the race but
were unable to receive any points...
