AA_MEJG TAKES SUZUKA GLORY AS VISA RB DOUBLE PODIUM SHAKES UP SEASON 20 TITLE FIGHT

Image
After the chaos of Baku, where Jordan had claimed the win, Round 5 of Season 20 at Suzuka delivered one of the most controlled but still tense races of the season. AA_Mejg returned to form with victory in Japan, joined on the podium by Bards in the Williams and his VisaRB teammate Endru, completing a much-needed double podium for the team. Mejg started from pole, but it was no runaway. Bards was glued to his gearbox for much of the first stint, even briefly leading after a sharp undercut. This was a valuable podium for Bards who never got what his pace deserves this season. Endru, starting deep in P16, carved his way through the field in a storming comeback drive, eventually climbing to the podium and adding crucial points to VisaRB’s championship charge. With Jordan absent from Suzuka, Mejg retook the championship lead, putting extra weight behind his quest for a fourth A1881 crown. The Alpine garage nearly had something to celebrate too. Rollie looked set to challenge for the rostrum...

JORDAN TAKES CHAOTIC BAKU WIN AS MEJG HITS THE WALL IN WILDEST RACE OF A1881 HISTORY

The streets of Baku lived up to their reputation, but even by A1881 standards, Round 4 of Season 20 went completely off-script. In a race with the highest number of retirements ever seen in league history, it was Jordan in the KICK Sauber who survived the carnage to win ahead of Dunce in the Aston Martin and Energetic in the Haas, completing a podium hard to predict... We didn’t have news coverage for last week’s Australian Grand Prix, but it was Jordan who took that win too. And now with back-to-back victories, the former champion has climbed right to the top of the standings, leapfrogging AA_Mejg in what already looks like a season-defining swing. Jordan's interview will be added later. AA_Mejg had started from pole in the VisaRB and looked in control through the opening phases. After the third Safety Car bunched up the field with ten laps to go, he was locked in a tense duel with Jordan. But disaster struck at Turn 3, when Mejg clipped the wall and left debris all over the circu...

AA_MEJG SNATCHES LAST-LAP GLORY IN MONZA THRILLER OVER JORDAN, JUSTIN COMPLETES VISA RB 1–3

Round 2 of Season 20 at the Italian Grand Prix delivered one of the most dramatic finishes in recent A1881 history. In a race that began on a damp track and evolved into a dry showdown, AA_Mejg in the VisaRB took victory by just one tenth of a second over Jordan in the KICK Sauber. Completing the podium was Justin, stepping in for Endru at the second VisaRB, to secure a double-podium for the team and keep them firmly in control of the Constructors’ Championship... The race unfolded with Mejg converting pole into an early lead, while Jordan and Justin kept the pressure alive throughout the first stint. The surprise element came with the weather; what was forecast to be cloudy turned into a persistent light rain for half of the race, catching several drivers off guard on strategy. Still, the battle at the front never cooled off. “Definitely a great start to season 20 of A1881! Exactly what I needed after last season. Anyway, I'm glad my first run in Q3 was enough for pole as I just a...

MEJG BACK ON TOP IN NETHERLANDS OPENER, INGINNE FINISHES 100% RACE WITHOUT MELTING UNDER RAIN...

The 20th season of A1881 kicked off at the Netherlands GP with a dramatic opener that had it all: an unexpected pole from Javinwain, a mid-race downpour, and a return to winning ways for AA_Mejg in his VisaRB. After a strong but sometimes inconsistent Season 19, Mejg wasted no time showing he intends to be a frontrunner again. Joining him on the podium were Cajoco in the Ferrari, marking a powerful return after his year at Kick Sauber, and Dunce in the Aston Martin, who impressed from the very first laps... The race, spanning 72 laps, began under dry skies with Javinwain’s Williams starting from pole, followed by Dunce’s Aston Martin and Rollie's Alpine. Mejg, starting fourth, faced an uphill climb after an early extra pit stop before the rain hit. But as the track turned treacherous, he carved through the field and reeled in both Cajoco and Dunce, crossing the line five seconds clear to open the season in style. AA_Mejg's interview will be added later. Behind the podium trio, ...
