RIAN PICKS UP THE ALIEN PACE AND WINS BRAZIL GP!
Rian reached his first Aston Martin win after a well controlled race. AA_Mejg was the driver to follow him closely in Visa RB. Champion Endru came third in Mercedes…
Race began with Jordan’s amazing pole once more and in
dry conditions. Transition to wet and then back to dry forced drivers to
mistakes and Jordan’s slight mistake in pit exit combined with Codemasters
brilliance left him out of the race, while he was seeming to be the favourite
for the race. This left Rian to battle with the other Swede AA_Mejg and he was
able to control the race to reach his first win in Aston this season along with
his first interview:
Rian: Finally back
after so long!
Well firstly I wasn’t
expecting much coming into this race as I’d very little practice thinking the
race was an hour later than it was, somehow I was in the fight for pole, but
Jordan pipped me with a great lap, got off to a decent start, Jordan, Fortuna and
I raced well together and pulled a gap to to the cars behind, a few safety cars
tried to mess up the order a bit, but luckily I could stay out front everytime,
unfortunate the game ruining Jordan’s race as it’d have been good to see us
fight till the end but after the 2nd last safety car I felt I had the pace to
bring it home another safety car a few laps from the end again tried to mess
things up but I kept my composure and brought it home!
This win brought Rian second in standings only 6 points below Endru. AA_Mejg’s pace was once more brilliant and he was a threat to Rian till finish line, and climbed P3 in championship after this result. Endru’s pace was worse than what we are used to seeing in him, yet we was still able to sustain his championship lead with this podium.
P4 we had Rothnz in Ferrari, once more with good
consistency. He was followed by Naedangerdavid in Aston. With his contribution
and Rian’s win, Aston has taken the WCC lead away from Mercedes. Gordini
finished 6th in Alpine and tried to limit damage for his team while Jordan was
out of the race. Rollie came P7 in Mercedes, after another eventful race. P8 we
had Selecta in Williams, annoying Rollie throughout the race with Williams
straight speed. Bhavish finished P9 while being disgusted by the league, after
working hard to receive a well deserved quali ban for Hungary GP… P10 was
NBA_Mj, giving a long but consistent battle with himself and his Sauber, to
finish his first race in A1881 in a decent position, albeit one lap behind. Sir
Ibbo finished P11 in Redbull, leaving the honor of becoming the last driver
alive on track to his new rival Atwinke in Haas…
Varea, Antoan, Slowfiveohh, Jordan, Dunce, Tarkan,
Crunchypancake and Mirko were all eggplanted. We are heading to the pick of
David, to Hungaroring next Sunday!
