He regained the lead after a few laps and was relatively comfortable until Endru ended up in his tail. Rothnz added a new way to his wins, under wet conditions with a geniuos strategy, and became the champion of A1881 a third time… Leegoat was behind him in Redbull, ahead of Dan’s Mercedes... Gordini was on pole in Alpine to replace missing Endru but was soon overtaken by Dan, who was able to defend the lead until Lap 14. He then was overtaken by Gordini and Leegoat in T1. Then the rain started falling and with more safety car laps done than not, Rothnz again was with the better of strategies, staying on inters while almost everyone did an extra pit for wets, and to his taste the rain got lighter which gave him the win and the title. Rothnz has taken maybe the luckiest of all his wins on Suzuka, with Leegoat spinning while leading in last turn, giving Alpine another double and the title in WCC with Endru coming second. Leegoat completed the podium by coming third eventually... Endru was surely hoping to make a streak of wins but was overtaken by Rothnz before turn 1. Rothnz has extended his lead at the beginning with soft compund and took the chance to pit with the first SC. He was stuck in traffic after the pits and probably wasn’t hoping that this would be a win until last turn last lap, but Leegoat gave him a present by denying his first possible win this season in Redbull. Endru clinched a sensational win coming from P18 and dominating the field under mixed conditions. The fallen dictator followed him from 8 seconds behind at finish. Legendarygoat was the last driver on podium after many incidents he was involved in... Keon was on pole at soaking wet race start and was able to keep it until the first SC period at Lap 7, but decided to pit for inters, together with another few on grid, including Endru, leaving the lead to Rothnz.
