ADVANCING AGE OR LACK OF TAPE? THE CURIOUS CASE OF ROTHNZ THE FALLING GOAT…

After a podium-less first half of the season in one of the best cars of the grid, Ferrari driver Rothnz seemed very much off the pace of his extraordinary career… While memories of him taping his Fanatec and starting his era of domination seem to slowly fade away, A1881 Insider asked the long time racing friends of the GOAT, if they think he is now too old for top level racing…

Here are some comments from the A1881 Veterans on the saddening situation of A1881 Legend…

Dan the Man, who is one of the all time most consistent drivers of A1881 along with Ibbo, and a WDC Bronze medal owner, have been racing with Rothnz for over 10+ seasons. He does not seem to be very optimistic about the situation, and doubts "if there is enough tape in the world to save this career"…

Dan: I was shocked to see him in red. Assumed he would win without competition... Yet he's still without a podium. So this shows the GOAT days are gone!? Poor guy... Is there enough tape left to fix this career?

Gordini, who is very close to the legend both on an off-track and one of the drivers knowing him the best, can’t hide his disappointment and thinks the aging hit the legend hard:

Gordini: In old days Roth was able to win in a bad car. Nowadays he’s not capable to win in a top car. Roth has winning instincts ceased or he has became slow in his reactions…”

Another one of his countryman and A1881 Veteran, AdamLindberg, was not also very merciful on the Tapeguy:

AdamLindberg: Yes, I think Rothnz is too old to be racing on this level. I’ve had a lot of good battles with him over the years, but eventually everything must come to an end. My advice for him would be to leave the sport before the sport leaves him…

We even reached some champion veterans of A1881, hoping they would be more understanding to the 5 time champion. But nah, they turned out to be even more cruel… Cajoco, who holds one WDC and 2 WCC titles next to his name, was more concerned about the medical situation of the legend after hearing about his current season:

Cajoco: Wow. I’m shocked! Maybe the arthritis in his wrists is beginning to kick in from old age… I never thought I’d see the day… in a Ferrari ?!?! 🤣

A1881 double champion, Haggisnt, was showing some Scottish straightforwardness:

Haggisnt: I think all drivers have a shelf life, and Rothnz has apparently reached his. It was clear in F1 23 that the signs of old age were there but now, without a single podium in a top tier car, it couldn’t be anymore obvious…

Selecta the flying Dutchman, racing in A1881 since Season 1, took the situation similarly, but still was cautious, suggesting he has a slight hope that Rothnz could still deliver…

Selecta: It’s becoming clear the Swedish goat is showing signs of being vulnerable after all and making rookie mistakes in the side of my car especially on miami🤣😜 But i won’t say too old since he still has surprising pace and consistency so never count him out...

The only person who seemed to truly believe in Rothnz despite his advancing age and disaster of a performance, was Rian the Alien, who just like Rothnz has a copy of every one of the possible medals next to his name:

Rian: Rothnz still has it and I could definitely see him still fighting up there, was with us for a lot of Vegas…

Yes A1881 folks, A1881 Insider reporting from inside, in a purely objective handling of this dramatic issue… We definietely hope to see Rothnz days back on Qatar GP this sunday, if it is ever possible again…
