ALTAN GETS HIS LONG AWAITED WIN IN BAKU AND KEEPS ALPINE ON TOP!

Altan has taken the win in Azerbaijan GP with a strong performance and gave Alpine its second win in a row. Rollie found himself second place after unexpected last lap incidents and Sertac completed the Turkish trio on podium with McLaren this time… Rothnz was on pole in race start with an incredible time in quali without any tow coming from his teammate and kept his lead until Lap 15. He did an unorthodox selection of strategy and refused to pit for hards when the second SC entered at lap 6. After his pits, he came behind Leegoat at P3 and was soon in second place to battle for the win with Altan and still had the upper hand with his fresh mediums against Altan’s worn hards. With the entering of last SC Altan switched to mediums while Rothnz picked softs, when just 4 laps were left to race. Altan kept the lead despite considerable pressure and defended nicely. When DRS was available, Rothnz would have one or two more chances to attack but he locked up in T3 at Lap 25 and did a V...

CAJOCO AND ALTAN GIVE ALPINE THE STRONGEST LAUNCH TO SEASON IN AUSTRIA! Cajoco won the Austria GP dominantly as expected from his weekday practice performances. His teammate Altan came second and Alpine have been the first team to do a double in A1881 since Aston Martin double by Altan & Dupewar on Netherlands GP in Season 2. Sertackaratepe was extraordinary in Aston Martin and claimed the third step of the podium… The race began with a custom grid due to a glitch after sprint session. Cajoco has led the majority of the race and even though he fell a few positions back after the pits during the first SC, he was able to climb in a safe and steady way. Winning his second race in his time in A1881 (first one was in Suzuka last season), Cajoco was much calmer in the interview: “Very tough race concentration wise and was trying my best to manage the gap to my rocket teammate Altan! I got a good start to the race and managed to get out of DRS before it was enabled early on. When both saf...

EBIRD CLINCHES HIS FIRST TITLE IN A1881 IN A DRAMATIC WAY! Ebird clinched the Season 5 title in a strategic way in Spain GP, while Endru showed incredible pace and character but lost on equal points by finishing the race third behind Dupewar… Ebird took pole and increased the lead consistently until the SC period. He then surprisingly switched to softs while there were still 20 laps to go and positioned himself right behind Endru after switching to second set of softs. He overtook Endru in a few laps after this but Endru becoming second was not bringing the title to him so he reduced pace and started battling Endru, which cost Endru time and brought Dupewar back in the game. This was a risky decision because it could have ended with a collision or Dupewar overtaking both in which case Endru would be the champion. Endru was still P2 in last lap but was unable to stay ahead with worn mediums vs Dupewar’s hards. By also taking the fastest lap, Ebird equaled his points with Endru a...
