RANKUP MOVES ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE CROWN AS WILLIAMS SECURE THE OTHER SHINY THING

Abu Dhabi gave a dominant winner and a champion constructor. Rankupwithme controlled proceedings from lights to flag to lead home Keon and Yeshurrun, while Williams duo of Rankup and Bards officially sealed their first-ever A1881 Constructors' Championship. With two rounds remaining, Rankup also moved another giant step toward claiming the Drivers' crown, while teammate Bards, absent after being wildcarded by JollyBoyJohn, will still celebrate his first Constructors' medal alongside him.


The opening lap was impressively clean, with the entire field negotiating Turn 1 cleanly and resisting the temptation for over-ambitious heroics. From there, Rankup quickly established control. Even losing all game audio during the opening third of the race couldn't prevent the Williams driver from managing the race comfortably once the issue resolved itself.

Behind him, the real entertainment came in the battle for the remaining podium places. Keon continued his remarkable adaptation to the new generation of cars, delivering another outstanding drive to secure second for Ferrari. Yeshurrun claimed third, strengthening his hold on third place in the championship and moving ever closer to earning his first A1881 Drivers' Championship medal for third or maybe second place.

Rollie endured another frustrating weekend after a short qualifying session left him struggling to find rhythm early on. As has become something of a pattern, the pace arrived only after several laps. A split Virtual Safety Car strategy briefly offered hope of fighting for the podium after skipping the first neutralisation, but stopping under the second VSC ultimately ended those ambitions, leaving him to settle for fourth.

Justin produced one of the recovery drives of the evening, climbing from seventeenth on the grid to fifth for Haas, despite a disconnect left his car to AI to pit. Reserving for Alpine, NaeDangerDavid added valuable points in sixth despite a time penalty, while Energetic quietly collected another solid finish for Mercedes.

San, standing in for Cadillac, crossed the line eighth ahead of JollyBoyJohn, whose reserve appearance for Williams still contributed points to the Constructors' triumph and limited damage for Bards' WDC, despite heavy penalties. TrenchGhost completed a respectable outing for Audi before finishing one lap down.

Scaparro's weekend never recovered after a difficult opening stint. A compromised qualifying, early contact, overheated tyres, floor damage and a drive-through penalty under the VSC combined to turn what had looked like a promising weekend into one to forget, though he still battled on to the finish. Sir Ibbo and Crunchypancake also reached the chequered flag after eventful evenings.

At the back, Box-for-inters and Sir Ibbo produced one of the race's more unusual spectacles. Their prolonged duel raised more than a few eyebrows, with Box-for-inters appearing almost determined to keep the fight alive for as long as possible and making sure to finish behind.

Further up the road, the attrition list included ToxxicElijah, Furios_Donyy56 and Mrbenchod, all of whom retired before the finish.

While the Drivers' Championship remains mathematically alive, the Constructors' fight is officially over. Williams have wrapped up the title with two races to spare, a reward for the relentless consistency and outright pace shown by Rankupwithme and Bards throughout Season 24. Now the main prize remains: the Drivers' crown, with Rankup needing just two more strong weekends to complete what has been a remarkable campaign.

But tonight became about something much bigger than just the race win — we’ve officially secured the Constructors’ Championship in the absolutely unbeatable Williams.

I’m incredibly proud of my good friend Bards. It has been a pleasure and an absolute stormer being his teammate. We pushed each other all season, we were almost always separated by almost nothing, and together we brought this championship home.

The race itself wasn’t completely straightforward. I lost all sound during the first third, which made judging the gears, traction and what the car was doing much more difficult. Thankfully, I managed to get it working again, settled back into the rhythm and controlled the race from there.

The car felt really strong. I had major concerns about traction beforehand, but the final changes worked when it mattered.

Big congratulations to Keon and Yesh as well. Rankupwithme claimed victory after withstanding relentless late pressure from teammate Bards, while Furios_Donyy56 secured his first A1881 podium for Haas in only his second full-time appearance. SV5 MASTERS THE CARNAGE AT JEDDAH SEASON OPENER

The Saudi Arabian GP kicked off the new season in brutal fashion, with SV5 taking a commanding win under the lights of Jeddah ahead of Bards and his teammate Selecta. The podium set the tone for a chaotic opener that was a likely scenario for Jeddah, more so when cockpit cam is forced... From pole, SV5 looked razor-sharp in his new Racing Bulls machinery, especially with the usual title heavyweights Jordan and Mejg absent, leaving the spotlight wide open. When the lights went out, that spotlight turned into a floodlight of chaos almost instantly. A massive first-lap incident at Turn 3 saw Justin clatter into NaeDangerDavid, with Elche also collected, triggering the first safety car and causing widespread damage down the field.
