JORDAN MASTERCLASSES WET SILVERSTONE WITH NO-PIT GAMBLE IN ROUND 4 THRILLER

In a chaotic and fully wet Silverstone race, Alpine's Jordan delivered a tire-defying performance to claim his third consecutive victory in Season 19, crossing the line ahead of the Williams pair of Rian and Endru in Round 4 of the A1881 Championship. Jordan and Endru made the extraordinary call to not pit at all, nursing a single set of intermediate tires for the entirety of the 52-lap challenge—an audacious gamble that paid off with race-defining results...

The British Grand Prix began under soaking wet conditions, turning the race into a test of survival and strategic thinking. Jordan, starting from P4, settled into rhythm after a cautious start. Despite facing early pressure from the Williams duo of Rian and Endru, he managed his pace masterfully—helped in part by not having to make a pit stop. Rian, while showing strong pace throughout, did pit once mid-race and was left to chase Jordan down in the final laps, ultimately finishing second.

“For the race I can say I didn’t win—I was using an experimental setup and had 10 minutes of practice on a track I haven’t driven since 2024 in equal performance,” Jordan reflected after the win. “But it was an interesting race—I don’t even know half of what happened today! Eventually I found a groove and didn’t have the same fuel issues as the others, so I just had to manage tires and push to the end. It was fun, if not a little lonely, but an important win for the WCC (and maybe WDC, we will see).”

Endru followed Jordan’s rare strategy to perfection as well, staying out on the same set from lights to flag and managing to seal a vital third place. It’s his second podium of the season and yet another display of consistency and racecraft.

AA_Mejg finished fourth, maintaining strong form with good pace, though the race didn't unfold quite in his favor. He made a regular pit stop but couldn't quite find the pace to challenge the front three. Still, with 118 points, he remains second in the championship, closely tailed by Rian on 115.

Red Bull’s Javinwain had another solid drive, finishing fifth, while his teammate Selecta crossed the line in seventh. The Red Bull team now sits at 121 points in the Constructors’ standings, gaining valuable ground on their rivals.

Bhavish, who started from pole in the Mercedes, slipped to sixth as tire choice of full wets and pit timing didn't favor him. Quartiux brought the second Mercedes home in 10th, helping their team keep a tight grip on the midfield.

Haas had a standout result with Bards making an impressive recovery from P20 to P8 after serving his Q ban, becoming the driver of the day. Crunchypancake, on the other hand, was among the retirements, caught out by the treacherous conditions. Inginne also failed to be classified with a heartbreak, despite crossing the line, having completed less than 90% of the race distance for being lapped more than 5 times.

NaeDangerDavid (Ferrari) finished ninth, staying clear of the drama in a controlled drive. Teammate TarkanGino ended up in 12th after being involved in a multi-car Lap 1 incident that also collected Renno and Rollie.

McLaren saw both cars finish, with TSCRacing in 13th and Kast1908 in 16th. Keon (KICK Sauber) took 14th, while Alpine’s Rollie had a difficult race, finishing 15th with heavy damage suffered during that Lap 1 tangle with Endru, Tarkan, and Renno.

VisaRB drivers Sir_Ibbo and Inginne came home 17th and DNF respectively, with Renno_RC7 also retiring early due to damage sustained in the same early incident.

With four rounds complete, Jordan has extended his lead atop the WDC to 148 points, followed by Mejg (118) and Rian (115). Endru climbs to 81 points, jumping solidly into fifth place. In the Constructors’, Williams barely holds on to the lead with 196 points, just two ahead of Alpine at 194. Aston Martin remains a strong third with 162.

Thanks once again to Ironghost for the stream—and great to hear his voice back in action. Congratulations to all drivers who survived the drenched chaos of Silverstone. On to the reverse layout of the same venue next week!
