CPI_JORDAN WINS AT INTERLAGOS!
CPI_Jordan has reached his second A1881 career win on Brazil with his Sauber after a dominant show. His long term rival and countryman AA_Mejg followed him in second place in VisaRB. Rian filled podium in Williams right ahead of his teammate...
Jordan was the only hard compound runner in the front pack
and tried to stay away from trouble but within DRS of AA_Mejg who started on
mediums and Endru on softs. The safety car entered after Gordini’s retirement
on Lap 11, to favor the medium runners and give them a chance to safely see the
end with fresh hards. Despite looking on back foot by having to go till the end with mediums, Jordan benefited from the
race-long battling between Mejg, Selecta, Endru and Rian and pulled away around
5 seconds, until his tyres finally started to die off. Last few laps the gap
was down to 3 seconds but it was too late for Mejg and others to catch up. This
gave Jordan his second win in A1881, along with a giant leap in standings up to
P7, right behind his countryman Rothnz. He seemed to be aiming more for next
season, upon being asked about his season goals:
CPI_Jordan: The aim
this season is just to get some momentum, and continue winning and getting more
used to the car for next season. Despite my struggles today with chronic
understeer, winning today is a good sign for the future. Hopefully this will
continue, and help me get more wins next season and maybe win the whole thing…
AA_Mejg could have gotten more if he didn’t spin at the exit
of safety car. He needed to spend most his time recovering from this mistake and
eventually be involved in the fight for P2. This poidum of his in Saul’s car which
he had an incident with last week, brought Visa RB right in the middle of the
fight for WCC. Rian reached podium in his Williams first time after his first
and only win on Monza this season. Together with his teammate Endru following him in P4, Williams
clinched the lead in WCC back from Mercedes after last week. Endru kept his
championship lead with this, pulling a Verstappen-like second half of the season,
by not winning but continuing to extend his lead. He is now only 13 points away
from claiming his second title in a row, on the penultimate race of the season
at Suzuka.
Selecta finished P5 in Mercedes, after his long fight for P2
ending with a spin. Dunce showed good pace and also a remarkable improvement by
not receiving any penalties, which he usually suffered throughout the season.
This P6 in race brought him P5 in championship, to the spot where he could potentially
be picking a track for next season. Dan the Man in Ferrari finished P7, getting
rid of 4 eggplants at once with a relatively good pace, after many unlucky races. Tvoje finished P8,
after some battling and a controversial incident with Rollie. Bhavish finished
P9 by choosing to pit for inters when there were only 2 laps to go. Rollie had
okay pace in Ferrari and could’ve gotten one or two positions more, if he didnt
suffer the spin after Tvoje’s contact and an illegal overtake penalty after
passing the spinning car of Mejg at SC exit. Tarkangino finished P11 in Alpine,
after serving his quali ban. P12 we had Slowfiveohh in Redbull for his debut
race, showing okay pace and consistency for his first race. Justin in Aston
finished 13rd and got rid of four eggplants at once together with Dan.
Crunchypancake drove safe and steady to reach finish line 14th and getting closer
to Sir Ibbo in standings, who was once more the last driver alive on track with
P15 in his Sauber…
Gordini found himself unluckily in the wall after his wheel
got disconnected by itself, while he was putting in a good team performance in
Mercedes together with Selecta. Varea retired in pits after many contacts with
many drivers. Haggisnt found himself in the wall while reserving in Haas after
a long while…
We are heading to legendary Suzuka next week, for Round 9 of
