CHAMPION KEEPS ON WINNING ON ABU DHABI, JUST NOT AS DOMINANT…

Champion Endru has picked up from where he left at Season 15 opener with Williams, thanks to the time penalty of JollyBoyJohn in Alpine... Justin reached podium coming from way behind in Aston, with a full stomach…

Race began quite eventfully with CPI_Jordan on pole. He was the only driver at the front pack to pick hards at start, yet he still pitted for mediums during the SC period at Lap 8. This made his race upside down since he has been the victim of the incident between Selecta, Naedangerdavid and Saul Goatman. Astons were leading after this SC by extending their first stint till around lap 17. After their pits the podium already was more or less shaped, with the trio of JollyBoyJohn, Endru and Justin. Endru once more kept his cool while leading JollyboyJohn in Alpine had a 3 seconds penalty and unleashed his true pace on last lap to get the win by a 0.7 margin, despite finishing behind on track. This win placed him to the top of the standings again, where he never fell below on 24 game.

JollyBoyJohn’s performance deserves a seperate paragraph. He was wildcarding in Varea’s Alpine on his debut and showed remarkable pace. The controversial penalty he received will be looked at by FIA, since he claims it was the result of a contact with Saul Goatman on Lap 1. Either way he showed what he is capable of by finishing first on track and reaching podium in an Alpine at his first race.

Justin also has been impressive. He is considered to be one of the title contenders this season in Aston, and he sacrificed track position for a full stomach during quali. This made him start last yet he was already P11 before first lap ended and climbed steadily afterwards, to see the podium in his first race in Aston.

P4 was Rothnz, trying to get adapted to his Haas season. Tvoje followed him in his Visa RB and didn’t seem to be bothered by a downgrade of his car after last season in Mercedes. Dunce finished sixth in his first full time race in McLaren. P7 belonged to Selecta, who was turned around by Rollie at first lap and then had a heated race, especially with his new teammate Naedangerdavid. Bhavish finished P8 in his first race in Aston and kept his team on top with Williams at equal points. Saul Goatman once again had at least podium pace but was involved in things that cost him finish P9 in Visa RB. Dan finished P10 in a race where he had all kinds of damage and equalized things with his teammate Rollie by rear ending him during SC. He gave way to his teammate in the end like a proper Brit gentleman though. And didn’t insist too much when Rollie refused… Rollie had a broken wing on Lap 1, underbody, sidepod and rear diffuser damage after his teammate's gift, plus a puncture after going over Naedanger incidents' debris. This gave Ferrari a disappointing P10-11 in the opener of Season 15...

TarkanGino was able to keep himself out of trouble and reached P12 in his Alpine with a good pace. Kast contributed McLaren by coming 13th. Inginne had all kinds of damage similar to Ferraris and finished P14 in his Haas. SkidSolo was reserving in Williams and finished P15 after serving Rian’s quali ban. Sir Ibbo was much better than becoming the last driver alive on track this time, coming P16 in his Sauber. Crunchypancake made his debut while wildcarding for Keon in Redbull, and he was able to reach points with P17. Last driver classified was CPI_Jordan in Sauber, despite retiring in pits due to his completed laps and saved himself from double eggplants while getting a single point.

Tbran retired after a self inflicted spin in his Redbull. Naedangerdavid was one of the possible winners with his pace in Mercedes, but him and Selecta triggered a Hamilton-Rosberg early in season. He was eggplanted while he was battling his teammate with Saul behind them on a controversial incident and has been one of the disappointed drivers of Season 15 opener…

The excitement in A1881 will continue in 100% length Netherlands GP next Sunday!
