SEASON 13 GETS GOATED ON IMOLA!

Rothnz has clinched another win with his Alpine on Imola and reached his fifth title in A1881… Rollie reached second place in his Mercedes, giving him his first podium this season. Naedangerdavid had to settle for P3 with Aston after deduction of penalties…

Rothnz the GOAT has put in another strong performance to bring him another title. Race began with Saul on pole and the first stint was between Saul and Rian.  After the first SC around Lap 24, the fight for battle was passing between Selecta, Rian and David, while sneaky tapeguy was just waiting for his moment a bit behind. Second and last SC left us some thrilling 30+ laps fight between Rian, Rothnz and David, followed closely by Rollie. Rian had a very late spin to bring him back to midfield and Rothnz on top. The GOAT saved himself from David’s DRS distance, whose softs tyres were not at their best around the last laps. Rothnz drove final laps comfortably to bring it home, while David struggled to keep his Aston on track and handed second position to Rollie who was one of the two drivers without a time penalty. Rothnz kept on destroying all time stats with this win, giving him an unmatched tally of 5 WDC titles and 27 wins in league history.

Rothnz: I did not expect that result yesterday.

My qualy was bad and i felt I left alot out there but manage to pass both Q1 and Q2 without trouble even if the laps felt awful. Also P3 with a not so good lap in Q3 was fine.

At the first lap i didnt feel very comfortable with heavy car and i lost some positions. Didnt feel it was worth to fight when I felt insecure of the car. Rianc and Leegoat pulled away, but not too much and I felt that they fought a lot which was good for me even if I didnt aim for the win at this moment…

After all I had some luck with safety cars, incidents and so on. But i stayed out of trouble, played it smart and pushed and stressed Rianc when I saw him having some trouble with his car, so im very happy and proud of my race afterall and it felt good to celebrate on podium with my good friend Rollie...

Its been my thing as always, i dont think I have the peak performance in speed, but i keep it clean, stay out of incident and take the chances when I get them, and that brought me another racewin and a new win in WDC. I didnt thought that was possible nowadays with those fast Alien-drivers in the squad, but obviously it was.

Thank you guys for fun and clean racing, always enjoy the races! 😀❤

Rollie had a very good last stint and an impressive overall race with no penalties, which brought him his first podium this season. David in Aston overcame a quali ban and surely deserved his first win in A1881, but once more had to delay it for another time. Still this result placed him one point above Haggisnt and in P3 in standings, to possibly bring him his first WDC medal.

Saul Goatman followed the podium in Mercedes, after a below-par performance in second half of the race. Yet his contibution made Mercedes the team of the week. Selecta came 5th in McLaren, to limit damage on his challange of staying above Rollie in standings. He was followed by Haggisnt in Alphatauri, who was far from his usual performance, yet still was able to set the fastest lap. Dan in Ferrari came seventh behind him, with a difficult to manage rear wing damage. Rian was chasing the win as always but had to settle for P8 in his AT, after his late spin. P9 was Tvoje, shouldering his team while his teammate Burtay retired in pits with disappointment of stayinh behind Rollie once more… Fameinerth helped his countryman to keep Alpine within WCC title fight heading to season finale, by coming tenth. Kast had a good race in Haas and finished P11, already being monitored by top teams for next season. Cmrcnn finished his first race and reached his first points this season in Alfa Romeo, unloading 6 eggplants at once by coming 12th. Inginne was the last driver alive on track with P13 in his Williams. Burtay, Keon, Sir Ibbo, Varea and Magnelman were all eggplanted.

We are heading to the epic finale next Sunday, to say a cool goodbye to 23 game with a %100 length Monaco GP, with three possible medals on the table between five drivers and two teams…
