HAGGISNT IS CROWNED A1881 SEASON 12 CHAMPION!
After an exciting finale, Haggisnt grabs his fourth win this
season, and with it A1881 Season 12 championship crown. Congratulations! His
rocket teammate Adam completed Alphatauri double while Bhavish reached his
first podium in A1881 in his Ferrari!
After the race to reclaim his crown with the slowest car on
grid, Haggisnt said:
This was a very fun race for me. After a mistake in qualifying I took the aggressive 2 stop and hoped maybe a safety car or Rian battling would help out and the first safety car coming out 2 laps before my pit window was a miracle. After that I was always on the better tyre than Rian and after some dodgy in game penalties and a mistake from Rian coming out the pits somehow I’ve kept my crow . Man what a season though. From starting off just aiming to be in the top 5 and not minding low scores to help my CAS next season to winning at the very end, it’s kinda mad to me. Obviously I was helped a lot by a rough end to the season by Rian who was by far the fastest car and driver combo. Looking forward to trying to defend the crown again, potentially as teammates with Rian…

It was an exciting finale at the Brazil circuit, which saw a good start, clean and close racing and two safety cars.
Rianc pushed hard to try and find the win but his race was plagued with some unfortunately time penalties, mixed with the very late safety car he found himself slipping down the order and finishing 7th. His fall this season started with his skipping of a race just for fair play while his rival Haggi was also missing, so he deserved without doubt the respected crown of fair play along with first WCC title with Haas. We expect he’ll be back with a vengeance next season.
Adam took the second step on the podium after a great SC restarting making it a 1-2 for team Alpha.
Bhavish took the last step on the podium, after showing some amazing pace in qualifying, stealing the spot from Dan by 0.064 seconds... pain for Dan.
Following Dan was Rollie – FOLLOWING - but still a very impressive recover after an early incident with Keon saw him at the back with Sir Ibbo.
Behind was Roth and Rianc. Selecta, with good pace as
always, didn’t have the best SC restart and found himself finishing up p8. Magnelman
and Fameinerth finished up the top 10, securing good points for Ferrari and
Williams.
David finished P11, a great result considering he was unwell, we expect to see him on the podium next season when he’s back on top form.
The Merc’s of Tvoje and Altan (wildcarding for Valward, good to see him back on
track) finished together in P12 and P13.
Keon finished the race in P14. He’d had great pace and some good battles but was out of luck with strategies and safety cars. Same goes for Tbran who’d been flying in Qualifying.
The Astons of Varea and Inginne also finished together in P16/17. Hopefully we’ll see more from them next season.
Long-time member Sir Ibbo finished up the drivers completing this race. Burtay and Butcher both DNFing.
We are heading to CAS this evening, where no success will go
unpunished once more!
