CAJOCO LEADS ALPINE DOUBLE IN FIRST LAS VEGAS GP AND SAYS “HE’LL DETHRONE RIAN BACK IF HE DOESN’T COMMIT”
Cajoco won the first Las Vegas GP in A1881 with a perfectly managed strategy. Haggisnt completed the Alpine double while champion Rianc in Alfa Romeo filled the podium in the first race he was able to participate this season...
Vithjalmen was on pole at the beginning of the race and led the race mostly until the exit of the last SC. Top 3 had fitted fresh hards while Cajoco behind them fitted fresh mediums, taking advantage of starting on softs. After a strategic battle between the four, Cajoco and Haggisnt were one on one going into the last lap. Cajoco harvested a good amount of ERS and deployed all on his teammate on last lap, to lead the Alpine double. He was happy to finally win a race after almost 1.5 seasons, and also do this ahead of his countryman Rianc:
Cajoco: Was a nice race , started to enjoy Las Vegas the more I
learned it!
Was really happy to get on the front row in qualifying it’s
normally where I seem to struggle. Besides an almost mini Leclerc/Verstappen moment
with Vithjalmen into turn 1 it was pretty quiet until the final 10 laps.
The safety car worked in my favour as I was the only one of
the top 4 that put on the medium tyre. It was all about picking the right
moment to take the lead and thankfully I held on for the win and a nice 1-2!
Reporter: With your countryman Rianc dethroning you and then
start talking about iracing and all, you think he's afraid of you showing
him who's the boss when you have a car to deliver?"
Cajoco: If he wants to keep the crown he’ll have to keep
100% commitment to F1…
Behind the podium we had Vithjalmen in McLaren, who seemed
to be able to win his first race this time. But no, it wasn’t the right time for
him once more. He was followed by Rollie in Ferrari, who had a fierce battle
with Dan in Aston coming to the finish line on his tail. Tbran followed Dan in
McLaren and with his contribution McLaren climbed above Ferrari in WCC. Rothnz
came 8th after butchering half of the grid with his Haas, making fans afraid that he’s no
longer the intimidating Tapeguy... Mrmccann finsihed at P9 in Aston, in front of
Burtay of Ferrari who was around P6 until the unlucky spin he had towards the
end. Selecta finished 11th with his Williams, almost becoming the victim of
another weird bug in the game. Elgogeta seemed to find his place after a lucky
wildcarding experience last week and finished 12th in Mercedes this time. He
was followed by Kast in Redbull. Tvoje Mamkacz wildcarded for Kingdom and was
able to bring his Haas safely as 14th to the finish line. Last driver alive
on track was Cmrcnn of Alphatauri this time.
Sir Ibbo, Valward, Jonboi, Butcher and Altan were all to
carry their new eggplants until %100 length Abu Dhabi GP next Sunday!
