ROTHNZ THE GOAT REMEMBERS WHAT WINNING FEELS LIKE ON QATAR GP!

Rothnz the tapeguy earned his first win this season in Williams on Qatar GP with Selecta finishing second due to his time penalty, despite finishing ahead on track. Haggisnt also clinched his first podium in his strongest track…

Rothnz didn’t have an incredible quali but once more had the better of strategies and a bit of luck to remind him of his dominating seasons. Selecta was very much like finally clinching this one, to give him his first career in in A1881, but the time penalty combined with Altan’s cringe effort to unlap himself postponed the win. Rothnz put himself in P3 in WDC after this and surely back into the fight he feels comfortable in, just ahead of the Bahrain GP, which he picked himself:

“Yes, wow! Finally.

It feels so good to finally be up here, it was so long time ago.

I can’t hide that all the stars aligned today. I mean, I had decent pace and kept away from penalties. But true pace i was maybe 5-6 as i qualied.

But all top drivers got some sort of damage or penalties, it was like I had secret agents working for me during the race, fixing so everything went as planned.

I tried a different strategy also, going for that early stop for Hards when SC appeared. I was P12 or smthing, and it felt pretty bad at that point, but all infront of me battled very well and respectful and I managed to climb all the way to P1. Meanwhile I saw Rianc, Leegoat, Haggisnt etc had some 3-4-way battles 10-12 seconds behind me, so i wished they could continue battle when I had clean air to drive in. My hards was about to die and I wouldnt be able to keep them to the end, so i went for a pair of fresh softs with 9 laps to go i think.

From there it was just head down and drive this enjoyable track as fast as possible without getting warnings or damage from passing cars.

It all went good and with help from penalties and damage on the cars ahead I manage to clinch P1.

Thanks for the great and respectful battles, i really enjoyed this race!

Peace!”

Selecta will surely bring himself into the top fight with the performance he’s showing in his McLaren season, already sitting in P4 in standings. Haggisnt, who was the winner of the previous race in here, was once more impressive in Haas and had a well deserved podium.

Gordini finished P4 and showed that bad days are already over. With his contribution McLaren has been the most profitable team of this week and proved to be the best of the rest, eyeing even above. Mrmccann also had his best pace this season to give him a solid P5 in Mercedes. Valward was in Alfa Romeo for his first race as full time and already delivered better than his teammate by coming sixth. Vithjalmen finished in between Alfa Romeos after a rough race which was run with damage after his controversial contact with Keon in Lap 1. Cajoco was again the second best Alfa Romeo with P8, despite switching a teammate. Tbran wildcarded for Elgogetaman after a long while and brought important points by coming ninth. Leegoat in Haas had to serve a quali ban and even though he climbed even more, had to settle for tenth, after numerous contacts with numerous drivers. Rollie finished P11 with Alpine, not making a very significant contribution to his team in the race Rianc retired, but still… Behind him was Dan in P12 with his Williams, trying to bring his car safely home after hearing his rival Ibbo retiring early in race… With this he extended his lead over Ibbo to 10 points which is a good margin for this level of racing… Ehem…  Burtay was the last driver alive on track in Mercedes, reserving for Tazer and came 14th.

Altan retired himself in pits with the shame of taking the veteran Selecta’s first possible win from his hands. Championship leader Rianc was another remarkable eggplant, having multiple controversial contacts with Leegoat with last one happening in pits and giving him a DNF. Ibbo and Buthcer eggplanted each other, Cmrcrnn and Keon eggplanted themselves.

We are heading to Bahrain GP next Sunday!
