FORREST JUMP CELEBRATES HIS BIRTHDAY BY LEADING ALFA ROMEO DOUBLE ON IMOLA, DESPITE HAVING SMALLER BALLS THAN HIS TEAMMATE…
Forrest Jump clinched his long-awaited first victory in
A1881, ahead of his teammate Cajoco… Selecta filled the podium with McLaren after a long while…
Forrest Jump has been chasing a podium since his first day
in A1881, but waited for the perfect moment to clinch it on the most meaningful
day, as a birthday present to himself. He was the only driver to start on hard
compound in the front pack, and Butcher’s retirement on L17 brought the SC with
perfect timing for hard runners. He switched to mediums and skipped the last SC
by staying on track and then climbed steadily on top in the remaining laps, to
make him give his first interview. And he kept it much shorter than his
teammate’s first interview.
Forrest: About the
race well i was tempted to go S-M but as we kept going there was no SC in sight
and the second i turned into the box, Bernd hit the pedal…
Reporter: With this win bringing you on top in WDC, can we say
that you're on your way to dethrone your teammate?
Forrest: I think he
got bigger balls than me 😂 but i’m going for any chance...
With this win, Forrest gained the lead in WDC along with
placing Alfa Romeo on top in WCC with Cajoco. Selecta had fascinating pace in
weekday practices and this pace brought him his first podium after Monaco GP on Season 8.
Haggisnt was just behind podium in his Haas, once more
showing remarkable pace. He was followed by ImFOE in Ferrari, to reach 5th
place in both races this season. Rothnz brought his Williams 6th after
missing the opener last week and already started climbing above in WDC, close to
where he’s used to. Dan once more had a consistent pace and was able to follow
his teammate. Altan finished in P8 in his Aston, just and barely ahead of
Rollie in Alpine, who also had to serve a quali ban… Vithjalmen in Alphatauri had
once more a promising pace after last week, but has been the victim of Kingdom’s
jump start aimed at him… Valward wildcarded for Leegoat in Haas and despite
serving Lee’s quali ban, he was able to bring points to him. Mrmccann has
defended his position around P7 for quite a long time, causing a Mrmccann train
for many, eventually suffered a spin but still was able to finish ahead of
his teammate Tazer with P12 in Mercedes. Tazer has been divebombed by Rianc
close to final laps of the race and had a disappointing result after his podium
last week. Sir Ibbo finished 14th in Redbull ahead of his rival teammate
Cmrcnn. Elgogetaman was able to finish the race once more, giving all he can to
keep Alphatauri in fourth place in WCC.
Kingdom and Gordini were eggplanted within the same unlucky
incident. Rianc chose to retire in pits to give a big blow to Alpine’s WCC chances.
Butcher was also eggplanted trying to reserve for Keon in Aston Martin.
We’re heading to Singapore next Sunday for another thrilling
race in A1881!
