CAJOCO TAKES ANOTHER AUSTRIA GP WIN WITH A TEAM DOUBLE!
Cajoco once more dominated Austria GP, being followed by his teammate Rothnz and did the double with Aston this time, after his previous double with Alpine on this track. Third place belonged to Endru in Mercedes, who came up from P15…
Cajoco began in P3 with softs after a partly wet qualifying
but gained the lead in second lap and consistently increased the gap. Safety
car entered at the perfect moment for him after Rianc’s retirement, and he switched to mediums. He then pitted for softs when there were 10 laps to go and
caught up his teammate Rothnz with 2 laps to go. He would already be the winner
of the race due to Rothnz penalties but obviously wanted to show Rothnz who’s
the boss here by passing him on track as well… He still backed up his teammate who is
passing through difficult times, in post-race interview:
Cajoco: Thanks man I
like some of Austria 😎
Aston Martin back on
top! I really enjoyed the race, at the beginning it looked like it was gonna be
smooth sailing when I got into some free air out front. But after the SC I had
to fight really hard with leegoat, RothNz and De rooij (who had a great debut
congrats 👏).
As the laps passed and my rivals picked up time penalties I knew I just had to
bring the car home and avoid any chaos!”
Reporter: Do you agree
with Endru about his comments on Rothnz era being over?
Cajoco: Absolutely
not, I see RothNz as one of the favourites for the championship. He’s always in
the top spots and consistency wins championships 💪
This placed Cajoco on top of WDC and Aston on top of WCC.
Rothnz seemed to still struggle with the game yet his experience gave him his
first podium this season. Endru reached podium despite not reaching Q3, and
reduced damage.
Forrest Jump was impressive in his first race in Alfa Romeo
as full time and reached P4, seeming to pair a very strong team with Ebird, who was
missing this race. Ferraris were behind him, with Dan ahead of Rollie. Gordini
extracted the most out of Williams and finished seventh. Selecta finished eight
in Mercedes, giving us entertaining battles with DRL_Lancer, Rollie and Dan,
but ended up at the rear of Lancer in one of those battles which cost Lancer a
spin and Rollie a wing. Keon didn’t seem very comfortable in Haas and finished
9th. Kast finished his first race in A1881, bringing important points to
Redbull and Elgogetaman. Leegoat finished 11th after a few incidents he was involved, despite being around top in majority of the race. Mrmccann finished
12th once more in McLaren. Altan seemed to struggle a lot in Alpine and
finished 13th, which possibly didn’t hurt as much as being lapped by Rollie…
Atwinke finished 14th in Haas. Cmrcnn was the last driver alive on track with
his Alpine.
DRL_Lancer in Alfa Romeo and De_Vooij in McLaren had
impressive pace in their first race in A1881, but weren’t able to save
themselves from tasting the tasty eggplants of A1881. Sir Ibbo, Shmodus and Rianc, were
also eggplanted, bringing Shmodus the all-time eggplant streak record with 7.
Next race of A1881 will be run on Silverstone next Sunday,
to become the second %100 length of the season…
