ROTHNZ CONTINUES WINNING REGARDLESS OF THE CAR ON IMOLA…

Rothnz has taken another thoroughly deserved win on Imola with his Alphatauri, making him the winner of all the races run on this track in A1881… Cajoco in Alpine was very close to taking Rothnz this time but he couldn’t do the last move and settled for second. Altan reached his first podium in his REDBULL season…

Cajoco had pole after a wet Q3, but he was already overtaken by Rothnz on T1. Rothnz continued leading in majority of race, to be interrupted briefly only after pits, but he had the best of strategies and driving as usual, and claimed the win despite being in DRS distance of Cajoco… He finally is being challenged a little at least with Alphatauri this season, yet it doesn’t seem to change the end result…

He gave us a classic interview by thanking the guys back in the factory and all that:

Rothnz: “That was a nice win to get! And it was a really joyable race to drive.

I was under pressure the entire race and had to be smart when to fight or not.

I'm pretty proud of my race tbh, everything did go as planned.

I let people pass like Haggish and Cajoco on some laps and then I played smart and didnt fully send it on a few attemps, instead let them do the mistakes.

From lap 12 to 32 it was a battle with Cajoco for the win. And it was full push that was required for these laps.

On lap 20, i was P1 and cajoco P2. I manage to break Cajocos DRS distance (1.1sec behind) and also had very lucky to get DRS from a blue flag-car. This made me build a solid distance to Cajoco for a few laps. (With solid a mean 1.5-2 sec 😬)

But then on lap 22, a new SC appeared and he was right in my rear again.

And between lap 25-32 i manage to keep Cajoco right behind me for all the remaining laps.

It was one of my toughest win but i'm proud both of myself and also for all the hard work the boys put in this car back in the factory. They deserved this win! These points was needed for the championship. It will be a battle to the end!

Thanks for the race guys, see you in Monaco."

Cajoco was the hope of millions to interrupt Rothnz domination but no, Rothnz continued winning like Erdogan, nobody understands how it happens but it happens over and over again… This has been Cajoco’s second consecutive P2, bringing him to P2 also in WDC, on equal points with Altan, who was following him in third here.

Haggisnt was far from impressive this weekend, after his win last week. Even though this hurt him in WDC, Mercedes have been able to claim the lead in WCC, with Ebird’s first contribution this season, by coming sixth. The Mercedes were seperated from each other by Leegoat in Haas, who have been around the top fight throughout the race with another strong showing in Haas. McLarens finished P7 and 8, with Dan ahead, almost becoming the victim of his teammate Rollie. Rollie’s mistake on Dan cost himself and Rianc more than it did to Dan, making him spin and giving Rianc a damaged wing. Rianc was definitely one of the quickest on grid, proven by setting the fastest lap, had to settle for P9 after the wing damage he suffered by hitting Rollie after he crashed. Mrmccann finished P10, did a good battle with Rollie for a few laps, but then had a contact into T1 and span, which he claims he wasn’t given enough space. This result placed him to P10 in WDC too.

Elgogetaman finally got rid of his eggplant, finishing the race in P11 despite having a quali ban. Kingdom followed him in P12. Atwinke suffered a spin at the exit of last SC in T1, after giving way to his teammate while he was P3. And he wasn’t even thanked by his teammate for this, very much like a Checo being bullied by…You know who… And finished P13. Sir Ibbo finished P14 ahead of his long time rival Cmrcnn, who was the last driver alive on track.

Endru continued his collection of eggplants together with Tuznani, Butcher and Selecta. The battle in A1881 will continue on Monaco next Sunday…
