ROTHNZ PROVES HIS DOMINANCE WITH ANOTHER COMFORTABLE WIN IN HUNGARY!
Rothnz has taken the most comfortable win of the season in
Hungary, once more some 20 seconds ahead of Altan. Tbran reached his second
podium in a row in as a reserve in Ferrari…
Altan was on pole after Rothnz crashed before his second attempt
in Q3, but hunted Altan at launch, before mayhem in the middle of the grid
resulting in multiple retirements and the entering of the first and only SC. He
then extended his lead and surprisingly didnt' show any sign of a performance
dropoff despite going on soft tyres until Lap 14. He came behind PsKeon at P6
after pits and had incredible pace once more, passing Keon first and then going
through Leegoat and Tbran like ghosting was on. Rothnz extended his lead in WDC
to 33 points over Altan with this win and refused to give an interview implying
he has no opponent on grid worth sending a message to…
Altan had a lonely race and secured P2. Tbran had a 15+ laps
battle with Leegoat on Haas, giving us the main entertainment throughout the
race, finally hunted him when he was on hards and Lee was on mediums. Lee
expected to have a counter-attack after fitting softs but he was disappointed
with the tyre’s performance and settled for P4 eventually. Keon reached P5
again, having a consistent performance and together with Kingdom who finished
P8, they broke the tie for P3 in WCC and made Alphatauri the best of the rest
for the time being. Mrmccann overcame his quali ban once more and finished P6.
Dan was alone most of the race and finished P7, bringing important points to
Alfa Romeo where Endru was eggplanted again. Cmrcnn reached his best season
this far by finishing P9, followed by Sir Ibbo who got rid of his eggplants and was once again the last
driver to see the finish line alive...
The retirements at the beginning of the race was triggered
by Rollie and Endru getting a better start than Atwinke and Ebird, and going for the same gap together, making it a four-wide line, which made especially
Atwinke, Butcher and Shmodusg the innocent victims. Rollie admitted after the
race that it would be wiser to back off instead of going for the gap, to make
it less risky, yet the damage is done to other and mostly to his own title chances where he is now
almost a hundred points behind his teammate…
We are heading Silverstone next Sunday fingers crossed for a
Hamilton – Verstappen moment between Rothnz and Altan…
