ROTHNZ GETS ANOTHER COMFORTABLE WIN UNDER SOAKING RAIN IN MONZA!
Rothnz secured his second consecutive win in full wet conditions ahead of his countryman Gordini. Altan limited damage by reaching the last step of podium once more…
He said after the race: “It feels great. I started of with a
good qualy grabbing another pole. Extra important this time due to heavy rain
under the race. Unfortunately i get out late in qualy because i wanted to help
drag my teammate Rollie but the AI took control of my car and ended up blocking
him, im really sorry for that…
I got a really good launch in the wet start and was far
ahead into T1, but unfortunately i locked breakes and cut T2 and that brought
me a 5sec penalty but got rid of that under a pitstop later on.
I think i had great control of the race and im happy to have
a Swede with me on the podium, Gordini in the Haas 🙏.
I was really sad to see Rollie retire the race after a heavy
crash that could have ended with serious injurys on Rollie but i’m happy he
could get out of his car by himself without any wound.
Unfortunately our big rival Altan did a good race starting
from the back of the grid. I kept my eyes on him on the leaderboard, but
Gordini did a good job and separated us and made Altan and Alpine score less
points…
Its like Alonso (Altan) use to say, its good for me and
Lewis(rothNz) if it rains so we can show our skills…😅
I think Altan did a good job thanks to Heidi didnt show up
in the stands this time cus she doesnt like rain and she doesnt want her
beautiful hair to get wet.. 😬
Thanks for the race. Well done everyone who survived the 53
slippery laps.
Im really sorry for Sir_Ibbo who stayed alive for so long
but unfortunately ended in the wall later on.
Gg!”
Gordini on second place was no big surprise, giving his
talent and experience… But doing it in Haas is always something special. Altan
reaching podium despite quali ban is also an impressive showing. We saw him
acting much calmer and patient today, possibly thanks to the penalty points he
received as a result of his teammate’s appeals, but it worked well for him
anyway.
Dan benefited from the time penalties of Atwinke and Endru
with another steady drive under rain and reached his best result this season in
Alfa Romeo. Atwinke finished between Alfa Romeos in 5th after deduction of time
penalties, followed by Endru. In fact, Atwinke, Endru, Altan and Dan a little
bit behind were the main characters we saw on stream of the race giving us
clean battling in these difficult conditions throughout the race. Mrmccann
finished way behind of these six at P7, followed again by Tbran from a good
amount of distance which even couldn’t benefit from Mrmccann’s 16 secs time
penalty and finished 8th, helping Aston Martin get rid of their team eggplants
as a reserve. Tbran actually had a good pace at the first half of the race and was battling in Top 6, until he had a broken wing as a result of Dan’s contact.
Kingdom was the last driver on grid and was classified in P9.
Sir Ibbo was maybe one of the most unlucky on grid together
with Rollie, retiring at lap 49 (47 for him) and not being classified as a
result. Other eggplants belonged to Tan (who is very much used to them by now
already), Albay, Leegoat, Ebird, Rollie, Keon and Cmrcnn.
The title fight has turned int a duo instead of trio between
Rothnz and Altan after these results and Mercedes continued to lead WCC heading
into Netherlands GP Next Sunday!
