BORING SWEDE WINS YET ANOTHER RACE IN SILVERSTONE…
Rothnz won in Silverstone once more leading almost entire laps after setting pole, missing the Grand Slam only by not leading a lap after pits. Former champ Ebird was way behind in his Mclaren yet was almost as comfortable as Rothnz, finishing second, giving him his first points with podium. Keon also reached his long deserved first podium in Alphatauri…
Rothnz didn’t leave us much to say, extending his lead after
beginning at pole throughout the race and setting a record of winning streak by
finishing first in the last five races. With this win he increased his lead in
WDC to 62 points, leaving the title chances of Altan to miracles… Ebird
finished second even though he was hunted by Atwinke after start, but benefited
from Redbull driver’s spins and had his first podium this season, giving
McLaren what was expected of him after a long while. This brought Ebird the
champ on equal points with Sir Ibbo and just above Cmcrnn, promising us a
fierce fight between the three in the remanining races lol… Keon has been in
impressive form recently and finally was able to reap the fruits of his
performance by taking his first podium this season. With this podium he brought
himself close to the fight for top 3 in WDC, also kept Alphatauri in the best
of the rest seat.
Dan was able to reach P4 in his home race, bringing him only
10 points behind Rollie in P3. Cajoco finished fifth, contributed his team
where he was needed, yet surely more was expected of him looking at his
incredible TT time on this track. Endru finished sixth again, in a somewhat
suspicious season for him with the rumors about him being fed up against his
team where he now is in his fourth season… Rollie already sucked in this track,
but he was better than his practice performances until he had a few technical
issues and a spin consequently, which cost him at least a few positions, ending
up in seventh. Dan, Cajoco and Keon
closed up on him in WDC three races remaining to the end of the season, only 12
points seperating these four.
Atwinke had a solid pace in qualifying and until the first
pit window, but he again was the victim of his clumsiness and finished at P8
after several spins. Leegoat was also another clumsy driver on track yesterday,
involved in multiple incidents without any serious victims and finished ninth.
Altan the crownless king had an incident with Rollie at L1, missing his braking point and hitting Rollie, resulting in a wing damage for him and
finished P10… Mrmccann finished eleventh, providing some nice battles on track
but not a result he would have dreamed. Kingdom was on P12, contributing and
helping his team keep P3 in WCC. Behind him were Butcher, Sir Ibbo and Cmrcnn,
giving us our first non-eggplanted race this season.
The excitement (not for Rothnz) in A1881 will continue on
Australia GP next Sunday…
