EBIRD SPICES UP THE TITLE FIGHT IN MONACO!
Ebird has won the Monaco GP in a dominant fashion and brought strong hopes for title to the the last race. Endru placed second and gained the lead in the championship, while Altan reached his long-awaited podium on his favourite track...
This has definitely been the weekend I have had the most
pace that I have had throughout the season and it helped me to claim pole
position where I then pulled away from Endru but then I span and lost my wing I
pitted for mediums, I then went to spin twice more damaging my wing in the
final few laps but I still won the race thankfully.
Now I’m in third place and Dan is 4 points ahead of me and
Endru is 13 points ahead so the championship is still on and it is spicy…”
Endru has pulled the sandbagging of the season and came
with an impressive pace again, despite seeming way off the pace in weekday
practices. He was being seriously threatened by Altan in the first 10 laps but
managed to stay ahead with Mrmccann holding Altan around half a second after he
let Endru pass during lapping. With this result he has gained the lead in WDC
at the most critical moment, 9 points ahead of season-long leader Dan. Altan
was happy to reach podium and getting just 3 points behind Rollie and 10 points
ahead of Rothnz before the last race. Dan has tried to limit damage and was
able to do so by reaching P4, even though this cost him the lead before the
last race. Burtay brought important contribution to Ferrari in WCC by finishing
P5, placing the Tifosi 2 points behind Mercedes, and keeping their title hopes
slim but alive for the title in WCC. Gio was 6th, giving him his second best
result this season after Miami. Keon finished 7th and helped Alfa Romeo stay on
top comfortably before the last race. Rollie has been the victim of an own
mistake followed by a pit crew disaster, fitting the wrong tyres and finished
8th, ahead of Mrmccann who has been the last driver to stay alive on track.
Sir Ibbo, Legendary, Cmrcnn, Atwinke and Butcher tasted the
famous Monaco eggplants once more.
With these results, as we head to the last race of the
season with a trio title battle on Spain, the maths tell us that whichever of
Endru and Dan win the last race, will claim the title. If Ebird wins the Spain
GP, he will need Endru to finish below P2 to claim the title. The excitement of
the epic season will come to a conclusion next Sunday on A1881!
