NAEDANGER LIGHTS UP TEXAS WITH WILD WIN FOR MERCEDES!

The Circuit of the Americas delivered a chaotic, thrilling, and at times bewildering United States Grand Prix, where NaeDangerDavid — stepping in for Gordini in the Mercedes — claimed a sensational victory ahead of Rian’s heroic Haas and championship leader AA_Mejg’s VisaRB. It was one of those races that felt like three rolled into one: strategy gambles, spins, penalties, and heartbreaks — all with a Texan twist.

NaeDanger’s pole looked like the beginning of a clean runaway, but the early laps proved anything but straightforward. Javinwain, in the Williams, shot into the lead and dominated much of the first stint until a costly spin and a mountain of penalties led to a disqualification, instantly reshaping the race narrative. From there, NaeDanger’s adaptability shone through — ditching the hard compound after realizing it wasn’t the silver bullet Mercedes had hoped for, and switching back to mediums for a ferocious charge to the finish. His final stint was a masterclass in race management and bravery under pressure.

Rian, meanwhile, proved once again that a Haas in capable hands is a weapon. He stretched a one-stop strategy well beyond what most thought possible, and with worn tires, he still challenged NaeDanger all the way to the final few corners of last lap. The two battled corner after corner in a breathtaking duel, but it was NaeDanger who crossed the line first, bringing redemption points to Gordini’s Mercedes after the infamous Ferrari incident earlier this season.

AA_Mejg completed the podium after an adventurous “last-to-first” challenge that he shared in spirit with Jordan and Rian. It wasn’t his most dominant race, but with consistency and patience, he extended his Drivers’ Championship lead to a comfortable 67 points over Jordan. With just a few rounds left, Mejg now looks more than ever like the driver to beat for a record-equaling fourth title.

Selecta brought his Aston Martin home in fourth, narrowly missing the podium after a quietly brilliant drive — “just one Swede away,”. Bards, also a key figure in this race, had solid early pace in his Williams, maintaining composure through the chaos to finish in the top five. His season consistency has been building nicely, with Williams now closing in on KICK Sauber for fourth in the Constructors’ standings.

Rollie had a bittersweet race in the Alpine. After a promising start, he clipped the back of Bards in Turn 12, losing his front wing and forcing himself into a painful 40-lap stint on hard tires. Still, bringing the Alpine home in seventh showed grit and stubborn resilience — two traits that’ve defined his S20 campaign so far.

Behind them, SCR_FTronc put in a measured drive in the Red Bull, while Dunce had one to forget after becoming collateral damage in Jordan’s early spin. The Aston Martin driver’s front wing change ended his hopes for a meaningful recovery, and his usually sharp pace seemed missing in action this time.

Further down, Crunchypancake once again represented McLaren with a steady, mistake-free drive, finishing just ahead of his teammate Sir_Ibbo. The McLaren duo kept it clean and served DRS to many frontrunners all race, in a race where chaos was never far away.

Scaparro’s Ferrari ended his run prematurely — one of several victims of the demanding COTA curbs — while Tvoje_mamkacz and Elche joined the retirement list shortly after, both caught in mid-pack turbulence. For Elche, the wait for his first career points continues.

At the other end of the field, Jordan’s misfortune stole headlines yet again. His KICK Sauber showed glimpses of brilliance early on, but an untimely spin and a bizarre wheel issue dashed any hope of a comeback. The reigning champion’s luck this season continues to swing wildly, and with Mejg’s form, his title defense is now hanging by a thread.

As for NaeDanger’s victory, it was a symbolic one — a wildcard triumph that reignited Mercedes’ hopes in the Constructors’ standings, now only 27 points behind Aston Martin.

David was not reachable after the win. The interview will be added later if provided.

The absence of Ironghost from the commentary booth was felt by fans, still the racing action spoke for itself — and with just two rounds left, the tension across both championships is set to hit boiling point.

Next up, the circus moves to the heat and history of Mexico City — and if the season so far is any indication, we’re nowhere near done with surprises.
