AA_MEJG and RACING BULLS TAKE THE WIN AND THE TITLE IN MEXICO MAYHEM!

The Mexican Grand Prix delivered a fiesta of drama, strategy, and late heartbreak as AA_Mejg not only triumphed on track but also sealed his fourth A1881 Drivers’ Championship title, determined to be one of the all-time greats of the league. Starting from the very back of the grid in his VisaRB, Mejg executed a masterclass in patience and racecraft, outsmarting the field through clever strategy and steady nerves. Behind him, Jordan brought his KICK Sauber home in second after a hard-fought race, while Rollie finally claimed his long-awaited first podium of the F1 25 era — and his first in two consecutive seasons driving for Alpine — by finishing third.

The 71-lap race began in classic Mexico City fashion: chaotic and unpredictable. Bards led early on from pole in his Williams, showing strong pace in clean air while Gordini’s Mercedes kept him honest through the first stint. But fortune would turn sharply for both — Bards picking up a crucial three-second penalty, and Gordini suffering a drive-through under a Virtual Safety Car that all but erased their podium hopes.

At the front, Mejg and Jordan quickly rose from their deep grid slots, in a race where they didnt run in qualifying for fair play against Endru with Q ban. Mejg’s progress was nearly derailed on lap 10 when a messy chain reaction during an overtake attempt cost him a front wing. The ensuing Safety Car proved to be a blessing, however, allowing him to pit for repairs without losing too much ground. From there, the Swede sliced through the pack again, aided by tire management and an early switch to a bold one-stop plan. Jordan, meanwhile, committed to a two-stop and looked set for victory after catching Mejg with just a few laps to go — but a late Safety Car following Endru’s retirement on lap 66 changed everything.

When racing resumed, Jordan’s three-second penalty loomed large. Mejg crossed the line second on track but inherited the win once penalties were applied, his calculated gamble paying off in perfect fashion. The result sealed both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships for VisaRB, with Endru’s scoring alongside Mejg ensuring the team could no longer be caught.

For Rollie, the night was about redemption. After 19 races in Alpine machinery across two seasons, he finally earned his first podium on the new game, taking full advantage of the late-race chaos. He was within striking distance of Jordan for P2 but a light tap from Dunce’s Aston Martin at the restart exit cost him half a second — and potentially a higher step on the podium. Even so, it was a well-deserved moment of celebration as he crossed the line.

Dunce’s steady performance continued his run of top-tier form, finishing fourth for Aston Martin to strengthen their grip on second in the Constructors’ standings. Bards, despite a front-row start, could only salvage fifth after time penalties knocked him down. Gordini, who had looked set for a solid top-three early on, had to settle for sixth — a result that didn’t quite reflect his pace, but still keeps him in the mix for a top-five finish in the standings.

SCR_FTronc brought his Red Bull home in seventh, another consistent showing in what’s quietly becoming his most reliable season yet. Tvoje_mamkacz was next for Alpine, navigating the mid-pack turbulence with composure to claim eighth. NaeDangerDavid, stepping in for Haas once again, finished ninth and delivered valuable points — after accumultaing 6s of penalties and deciding to retire in pits with only 2 laps to go after SC restart

The McLaren duo of Crunchypancake and Sir Ibbo followed, both avoiding incidents to score for the team and helping McLaren cross the 100-point barrier in the Constructors’. Their new game of providing DRS to others under blue flags show their big hearts and one wonders who was the winner on that aspect. Endru’s race ended in retirement just five laps from the finish after holding steady inside the points, triggering the decisive Safety Car that reshuffled the final results, but he was still classified due to number of completed laps.

Further back, Javinwain’s promising race in the Williams ended in retirement. Energetic’s Haas run was cut short with a dive on Tbran, causing himself damage and a retirement to Tbran. Selecta’s Aston Martin also suffered from mid-race damage that forced him to retire, while Elche’s KICK Sauber night ended early once again, staying the only driver without points in championship..

Mejg: “Thank you! Getting the 4th A1881 drivers' championship title means a lot to me. It's another target hit and I'm grateful. Today's race was a bit of a roller-coaster... I started last, climbed up methodically, and even with front wing damage, I managed to recover. Jordan’s 3-second penalty handed me the win after a late Safety Car — tough luck for him, but I’m thrilled to take this victory in Mexico. Thanks to my teammate Endru, to Jordan, and everyone who made this season so competitive and fun. See you all in the finale!”

While the season still has Jeddah Sprint and Finale to come, the titles are wrapped — VisaRB once again proving unstoppable, and AA_Mejg confirming his place among the most dominant champions in A1881 history. But the fight for P2 and P3 medals in WDC are still up for grabs, with Jordan, Dunce, Rollie, Bards and Endru preparing for the final fight on narrow streets of Jeddah.

As the dust settles over Mexico City, one thing is clear: the era of Mejg continues — and the rest of the grid will have to figure out how to stop him.
