JORDAN SURVIVES EARLY PRESSURE IN SLIPPERY MONZA CHAOS TO CLAIM FIFTH WIN IN A ROW

Round 6 of A1881’s Season 19 brought us to a wet and wild Autodromo Nazionale Monza, where Alpine’s Jordan extended his stunning streak of form with a composed victory, fending off early pressure and treacherous conditions to keep his title campaign on full throttle. He was joined on the podium by Mercedes driver Bhavish and Aston Martin’s Dunce, the latter producing one of the drives of the season with a charge from P16 to P3...

The race began under a wet cloud, and so did Jordan’s opening laps. Despite starting on pole, the Alpine driver admitted to having “almost no good feeling in the car” at first, as he came under pressure from Bhavish in the Mercedes and others lurking behind. But the championship leader soon found his rhythm, managed his wet tyres carefully, and pitted at just the right time to emerge in control after the switch to slicks around lap 17. From there, he never looked back.

“Yeah the race was certainly tricky at the start as I had almost no good feeling in the car and had cars all around. After a few laps under some pressure I was able to find a rhythm, massage the tires and pit on a good lap to control the lead until the finish.
Happy to extend my winning streak, and to extend the championship lead to a nice margin. Let’s hope my wildcard does well in one of the next races, so me and Alpine can get one step closer to the WDC and WCC double 👀”

Bhavish had a clean run in the Mercedes, capitalizing on his front-row start to shadow Jordan early and secure a solid second place. But it was Dunce who turned heads: Aston Martin’s quiet contender flew through the field from sixteenth, making decisive overtakes in both wet and dry conditions. It marked his first podium of the season, and one that might just inject life into his campaign as he climbs into seventh in the standings.

Williams’ Endru added another top-five to his consistent campaign in fourth, keeping the team firmly in the hunt for the Constructors' crown. Ferrari’s NaeDangerDavid also had a strong showing in fifth after a confident and stable race, his best finish since Round 2.

Alpine’s second driver, Rollie brought home sixth, holding off Red Bull stand-in Haggisnt—reserving for Javinwain—who showed he’s still got it in his A1881 comeback. The two-time champion, warmly welcomed back by the paddock, looked immediately at home in the Red Bull, and his haul helps keep Javinwain’s championship hopes alive.

Selecta followed in eighth in the second Red Bull, while Bards in the Haas had strong pace and battled tooth and nail with Rollie throughout the race. But a costly 10-second penalty for cutting Turn 1 meant he had to settle for ninth despite arguably having the edge on merit.

Keon put in a solid effort in his KICK Sauber to round out the points in tenth, ahead of Rian in the Williams who had a subdued race after qualifying high. The championship runner-up now faces a mountain to climb, with Jordan pulling 82 points clear in the Drivers’ standings.

McLaren’s TSCRacing came twelfth, while Cajoco in the second KICK Sauber followed in thirteenth. Crunchypancake got his Haas to the finish in fourteenth, ahead of Sir_Ibbo in the VisaRB in fifteenth. Quartiux (Mercedes) and Inginne (VisaRB) unfortunately failed to finish.

With this result, Jordan extends his championship lead to 229 points, a full 82 ahead of Rian. Meanwhile, Alpine also stretches their advantage in the Constructors’ Championship, now sitting at 309 points, with Williams trailing at 286. Aston Martin and Red Bull continue their fight for third in what’s turning into a tense mid-table scrap.

With six rounds done and plenty more drama to come, the championship is heating up—on and off the track. Huge thanks to Ironghost for the thrilling stream coverage as always.
