JORDAN TRIUMPHS IN MIAMI AS TITLE BATTLE INTENSIFIES WITH MEJG!

The streets of Miami witnessed a thrilling battle in Round 8 of Season 18, as VisaRB’s Jordan stormed to his third victory of the season, holding off championship leader AA_Mejg in the Alpine and a resurgent Tvoje_mamkacz in the Aston Martin. With just two rounds remaining, the fight for the WDC is still alive...

Jordan started from pole and made the most of it despite chaos unfolding around him. His strategy gamble paid off, and even though he suffered underbody damage after incidents involving both McLarens, he managed to stay composed and cross the line first. AA_Mejg once again finished right behind him in second, continuing his streak of top results but allowing Jordan to close the gap in the title fight. Aston Martin’s Tvoje_mamkacz rounded off the podium, driving an assertive race from P9 on the grid to third, pushing hard to claim his second podium of the season.

“Well the race was nice, had to find the flow in the race and safety cars kinda mixed things up. I tried a different strategy and was not sure if it would work, but it made things interesting. I got hit by both McLarens at some point which gave me a bit of underbody damage, but I am happy to have won in the end. I hope that MEJG messes up one of the last two races hahaha, but I’ll just try to win the remaining races and see where I end up”, Jordan said post-race with a smirk.

Endru, in the second Alpine, continued his consistent run with a strong P4, cementing Alpine’s lead in the Constructors’ standings at 406 points. Rian, fresh off his win in Baku, brought his KICK Sauber home in fifth and is starting to establish himself again as a consistent threat, climbing to P9 in the standings.

Rollie was set for yet another podium before a late-race safety car triggered by Sir Ibbo cost him track position. Still, a P6 finish for the Aston Martin driver kept his medal hopes alive, albeit now needing dramatic results to swing in his favor...

Ferrari’s Dunce didn’t quite have the pace this week and ended up in seventh, allowing Jordan to leapfrog him in the championship and close the gap to leader Mejg. His teammate Javinwain, however, delivered a standout drive from P19 to P9, scoring valuable points and overtaking Keon in the standings.

Bhavish brought his Williams home in P8 after showing strong early pace. His teammate rothNz finished just outside the top ten in P12, unable to make the most of the late safety car restart. VisaRB’s second car, driven by Gordini, picked up P10 and added valuable points to the team’s total, putting them third in the Constructors’ race.

Dan finally had a race to smile about, finishing P11 in the KICK Sauber and finally jumping above Inginne in the standings... NaeDangerDavid had a quiet race by his standards and could only manage P13 in the Haas, as he continues to search for a podium before the season ends.

Sir Ibbo and Quartiux had a nightmare day in the McLaren camp. While the latter retired early, Sir Ibbo triggered a late safety car that reshuffled the front runners—most notably costing Rollie a podium. In Red Bull, Crunchypancake was also among the DNFs, ending a difficult day for the team.

Mercedes had a day to forget. TarkanGino couldn’t find the rhythm and eventually retired, while Selecta added a comedy note to the race by getting disqualified for overtaking the safety car—ensuring the only thing he overtook all race was the rulebook. He remains stuck at 45 points.

With Mejg now on 262 points, Jordan closing in at 220, and Dunce at 201, the final two races are shaping up to be a three-way shootout. Rollie’s 182 keeps him in mathematical contention, while Tvoje and Endru battle for top five honors.

Aston Martin’s consistency has them second in the Constructors’ standings with 333 points, but Alpine is looking almost uncatchable at the top. Ferrari’s late-season resurgence has brought them close to VisaRB in the battle for third, with only four points separating them.

Round 9 will take the A1881 grid to Mexico GP next Sunday to potentially be the title decider, as the pick of youngster Endru!
