JORDAN REPEATS DOMINANCE IN SAUDI ARABIA WITH ANOTHER MASTERCLASS WIN
Round 6 of Season 18 took place under the lights of the high-speed Jeddah Corniche Circuit, and it was once again Jordan who stole the spotlight. Piloting his VisaRB car, the pole-sitter never looked back, controlling the entire race from the front and taking a lights-to-flag victory. He was joined on the podium by AA_Mejg in the Alpine and Rollie in the Aston Martin, marking an identical top three to last week’s Bahrain showdown.
It was a statement drive from Jordan, who’s now racked up back-to-back victories and has moved himself to second in the World Drivers’ Championship standings. Although a perfect “grand slam” slipped from his grasp thanks to a last-lap fastest lap by wildcard star Justin in the Mercedes, Jordan’s dominance over the full race distance in this 100% length round left little doubt about his current form.
AA_Mejg continues to lead the WDC with 204 points after a solid second place drive, extending his consistency streak and proving why he's still the one to beat. As for Rollie, he’s found a groove in the Aston Martin, securing his third podium of the season and making it two in a row...
The driver of the day, however, was Justin. Filling in for TarkanGino in the Mercedes, he lined up P19 after a DSQ in qualifying, yet carved his way through the field with precision to finish a brilliant fifth. He even snatched the fastest lap from Jordan on the final tour, showcasing raw pace and race craft, and delivering valuable wildcard points for Mercedes.
Behind the front-runners, NaeDangerDavid continued his steady form with a strong fourth place in the Haas, once again knocking on the podium door. Though he’s yet to step on it this season, his results are keeping Haas competitive in the WCC. His teammate Keon brought the second Haas home in tenth after a solid midfield scrap.
Further down the grid, the Alpine of Endru came home eighth after running well early on, while Ferrari’s Dunce had a quieter outing than usual, finishing ninth and losing his P2 in the championship to Jordan by a single point. Selecta delivered a smooth drive in the second Mercedes to claim seventh, bouncing back well from a qualifying ban and continuing his recent upward trend.
Williams had a mixed day. Rothnz finished sixth with a clean and opportunistic race, while Bhavish sadly retired after a strong qualifying in P4. Joining him on the DNF list were Slowfiveohh in the Ferrari, Inginne in the RedBull, Quartiux in the McLaren, Tvoje_mamkacz in the other Aston Martin, and Gordini in the second VisaRB—all victims of various incidents in the tight and technical walls of Jeddah.
Dan marked his return to the full-time grid for KICK Sauber with a straightforward run to eleventh, largely on his own for most of the race. RedBull’s wildcard TSC_Racing showed impressive development once again, finishing twelfth and bringing home consistent points to support Crunchypancake’s campaign. Sir_Ibbo was thirteenth for McLaren after a measured drive, driving his car on 3 wheels for a full lap to bring it safely to pits on one occasion and finish the race Ibbo style.
With no safety cars deployed throughout the 50-lap race, it was a clean and high-caliber showcase of A1881’s competitive and respectful racing—even on one of the trickiest tracks on the calendar.
Jordan still could not be reached after his win for the interview...
