AA_MEJG CLAIMS MAIDEN A1881 LEAGUE TITLE AS JORDAN WINS IN SAUDI ARABIA!

The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix brought an exhilarating end to the A1881 League 16th Season, with Alpine’s Jordan securing a brilliant win on one of the calendar’s most challenging circuits, despite being right behind Justin in finish line, due to Justin's time penalty. Meanwhile, the focus of the paddock was firmly on VisaRB’s AA_Mejg, whose third-place finish sealed his first Drivers’ Championship title in what has been a remarkable season...

Jordan’s Victory at Jeddah Caps a Strong Season

Jordan delivered a commanding performance under the lights in Jeddah, demonstrating exceptional pace and precision. The win underscored his undeniable talent, even as he narrowly missed out on the championship.

Reflecting on his season in the post-race interview, Jordan said:

"Yeah cheers! Saudi is a track that always feels great to win, and I’m happy to have won. It’s unfortunate I missed Vegas and Mexico (thank you Adam for getting P2 that day), and I also had a stupid game bug in Brazil. But I’m happy about how I performed when I was able to. I still thought I had a chance at the title despite these missed points, but my rivals were too consistent throughout the second half of the season. Hopefully my car will be close enough to my rivals where I can hustle it around and finally win the championship next year. Happy New Year to everyone!"

AA_Mejg Secures His First Drivers’ Title

AA_Mejg approached the Saudi Arabian GP with a clear objective: stay out of trouble and secure enough points to clinch the title. His third-place finish was more than enough to crown him as the champion, capping off an impressive rookie season as a full-time driver.

Speaking with excitement after the race, Mejg said:
"I'm very happy and I feel great! It's been a challenging, fun, and close season from start to finish. After seeing how the car selection and Round 1 in Mexico went, I honestly didn't expect to even be in the title fight. But somehow, the pieces fell into place. The pace eventually started to feel good, and the consistency is what really stood out for me this season.

"Going into today's race in Saudi/Jeddah, I knew that keeping my car out of the barriers and finishing the race in P13 or better would be enough to clinch my first drivers' title here in A1881. This mindset actually made me a bit nervous as I just thought about staying out of trouble every corner of every lap until the end. As a racer with a winning mentality, it really was a new type of challenge for sure.

"Anyway, I'm super happy to lift the biggest trophy of them all in my rookie year (as a full-time driver). I'd like to thank all the drivers, especially my teammate Dunce and, of course, my good friend Jordan, who I've been talking to during every race. Also, a big thanks to our exceptional commentator Ironghost, as well as Rollie, who puts the time and effort into organizing A1881 in such a good way!

"Thank you all for Season 16. Happy New Year, and I hope to see you all out on track next season!"

Aston Martin Clinches Constructors’ Championship

Aston Martin ended the season as the dominant force in the Constructors’ Championship. NaeDangerDavid’s fifth-place finish and reserve teammate Tvoje_mamkacz’s ninth ensured the team’s position at the top of the standings, while the biggest contributor Rian was missing from last race.

VisaRB’s efforts were also commendable, with Dunce finishing sixth and Selecta taking seventh for Williams. Justin secured podium with second place for Mercedes after race-long battling with Jordan, while Rollie_A1881 crossed the line in eighth, adding valuable points for the Silver Arrows.

Midfield Battles and Early Retirements

Ferrari’s Rothnz finished fourth, while teammate Moksha endured a difficult race, retiring early alongside Haas driver Vin91Enzo. McLaren’s TarkanGino rounded out the top ten with a steady drive, while Red Bull drivers Inginne and Sir_Ibbo finished 11th and 14th, respectively, bringing Inginne his first points this season and an eggplant-less season break.

Valward finished 12th for Haas, and Crunchypancake took 13th for McLaren, contributing to their respective teams’ season totals.

Season Reflections and Future Prospects

With AA_Mejg lifting the Drivers’ Championship trophy and Aston Martin securing the Constructors’ title, the A1881 League concludes an unforgettable season. Jordan and Rianc claimed silver and bronze in the Drivers’ standings, while Endru, last year’s champion, finished a respectable fifth, behind Naedangerdavid.

As the curtain falls on Season 16, drivers and teams are already looking ahead to the next chapter in this thrilling competition. With the level of talent on display, fans can expect another action-packed season filled with fierce rivalries and unforgettable moments.

Happy New Year to all, and here’s to Season 17!
