HAGGISNT RETURNS GRID WITH A WIN ON QATAR GP!
Haggisnt won the Qatar GP after returning grid to replace Endru in Mercedes. Kragish reserved in Redbull to bring it second. Cajoco filled podium to extend his lead in WDC...
Haggisnt did an incredible quali time to put him on pole. He
led the majority of the race, with Kragish right behind him and the Astons on
their tail. He was able to extend his medium stint to allow him to finish the
race with softs, which probably gave him the win. Returning on grid with a win, he shared his joy after the
race:
“Haha feels great, don’t know what it is about that Qatar
but I love the track. Felt good after getting pole in qualifying but didn’t get
a great start in the race and had to get back past Kragish. First stint was
very tough with Kragish right behind me and passing me a few times but we had
great battles, also had Roth and Cajoco just behind so I really felt the
pressure. After pitting though Kragish went for the safer hard tyres and I
think that’s what won me the race, I’m sure he would have got past me on softs.
Also had a great battle with Rothnz for a lap going side by side for 4 or 5
corners. Looking forward to what’s left of the season and hopefully I can carry
on the momentum and help get p2 in the constructors champ.”
With the win on the track he picked himself, Haggisnt helped
Mercedes keep P2 in WCC, despite his teammate Selecta retiring on Lap 3.
Kragish showed how strong he can be in a top car, and helped Redbull when both
full time drivers are missing. Cajoco finished once more in podium and gave himself a good margin for error, leading
Rothnz some 56 points, entering the last two races of season.
Dan had very good pace and definitely a better one than his
teammate, followed podium with P4. He was followed by Rothnz who hurt his title
chances with lack of fuel, yet he was still ahead of Rollie, sandwiched by the
Ferraris. Valward reserved for Altan in Alpine and despite having a quali ban,
he brought important points to Altan in his wildcard ride. Vithjalmen followed
him in P8 reserving in Alphatauri. Keon managed to keep his Haas on track with
many near misses and finished ninth. Gordini came tenth in Williams, followed
by two McLarens, with Kingdom ahead of his teammate Mrmccann. Mert finished
13th in Alphatauri ahead of Tazer, who once more had great quali pace but
lacking consistency. JonBoi finished P15 in his first reserving in A1881 with
Haas. He was followed by Cmrcnn and Sir Ibbo. Forrest Jump retired the car in
pits but due to completed laps, he was classified as 18th. Selecta was the only
eggplanted driver, triggering the only SC on Lap 3.
We are heading to Jeddah next week, a track chosen by
Rothnz, to try keep his title chances alive against his teammate…
