JORDAN MAKES IT THREE IN A ROW AT SINGAPORE AS BOBOW REGAINS WDC LEAD
Jordan continued his incredible run of form in Singapore, defeating Bobow and Mejg under the lights to secure a third consecutive victory, while Bobow’s second place was enough to reclaim the championship lead.
The podium trio controlled the race from the front for most of the evening, but the story began in qualifying where Bobow delivered a stunning 1:28.5 lap in the Williams to take pole position. Jordan, however, already looked threatening from the outset, managing his tyres brilliantly and extracting pace from worn rubber throughout the race to once again come out on top.
The VisaRB driver now firmly enters the championship conversation after three straight victories, while Bobow’s consistency keeps him narrowly ahead in the standings. Mejg completed the podium for Haas, continuing a remarkable run of points finishes despite still searching for his first win of the season. Week after week, the reigning champion keeps quietly closing the gap to the leaders.
Justin arguably produced one of the strongest recovery drives of the race. After suffering damage early on, the VisaRB driver still managed to keep a determined train of Energetic, SV5, and Rollie behind him to secure fourth place and limit the championship damage.
Behind him, Energetic achieved his best result of the season with a composed drive for Aston Martin. The tight Singapore layout suited his consistency, and he successfully held position during the tense closing stages.
SV5 also impressed after starting near the back due to a qualifying ban, bringing the Alpine home in sixth despite a difficult weekend. Scaparro finally managed to convert strong qualifying pace into a meaningful result, taking seventh for McLaren after a confident return performance. After a long break from racing, he looked competitive throughout and benefited from staying clear of major incidents.
Yeshurrun finished ahead of Rollie for the first time this season in the Mercedes camp, though not without controversy. Early in the race, he reportedly chose not to play the team game strategically with Rollie, something that ultimately shaped both of their evenings.
For Rollie, Singapore became a deeply frustrating race at his own selected circuit. A harsh game disqualification in Q2 for going too slowly at pit exit forced him to start only fifteenth, immediately compromising his chances on one of the hardest tracks to overtake. His frustration became visible during the race, first with an optimistic move on Selecta and later with a last-lap attempt on Energetic that spoiled both drivers’ rhythm. A final-corner mistake then allowed even more cars through, leaving him only eleventh at the finish despite strong underlying pace.
Bards also left Singapore feeling there was more available. The Alpine driver had speed worthy of a much stronger result but damage limited his progress, eventually finishing ninth. Tvoje capitalized late to take tenth after overtaking Rollie at the final corner.
Further down, HaggisNT stepped in for Rothnz at Aston Martin but reportedly struggled with teamwork dynamics during the race, eventually suffering damage and finishing lower than expected. San2793 endured a difficult opening phase but kept the Haas running to contribute valuable constructor points, though it ultimately wasn’t enough to keep Haas ahead of VisaRB in the standings.
Elche at least ended his streak of retirements by reaching the finish, although a late spin and combined front-and-rear wing damage ruined hopes of a stronger result. Sir Ibbo once again became the final surviving Kick Sauber on track after another determined drive, having earlier shown promise by reaching Q2.
At the back, Javinwain retired the Williams after starting from fourth, while Crunchypancake’s McLaren race also ended early. Dunce suffered another disappointing evening for Ferrari, and Selecta became the latest victim of an instant game disqualification after a controller disconnect ended his race before it truly began.
With six rounds complete, the season continues to tighten at the top. Bobow regains the championship lead, but Jordan’s momentum may now make him the most feared driver on the grid.
