“TITLE IS EVEN NICER WHEN I DETHRONE CAJOCO” SAYS RIANC AFTER CLAIMING HIS FIRST A1881 TITLE WITH A WIN IN MEXICO!
Rianc of Alpine clinched the crown over his countryman’s head by winning comfortably in Mexico GP. He was followed by Haggisnt, who had amazing pace in Haas once more. Valward reached his first podium in A1881 as a full time in his Alfa Romeo, after dramatic retirement of Gordini in last turn…
Rianc took pole with a very slight margin over Haggisnt and
capitalised on that throughout the race, keeping himself away from trouble and
increasing the gap steadily. He went for softs by giving away track position
when there were 9 laps to go but still managed to climb swiftly and claim his
first title in A1881. With this win he kept his incredible stats of winning
every race he finished this season and gave himself a chance to equalize with
Rothnz’s all time record of maximum number of races won in a season (8), if he
wins the last race in Brazil too. He was especially happy for winning by
dethroning his countryman Cajoco:
Rianc: “Thank you, yea it’s great to win my first title here in A1881
and to dethrone my fellow countryman Cajoco makes it a little nicer. This
season as a whole was great, to win every race I’ve finished is a great feat
against such quick drivers in the league. I do look back on the dnfs with a bit
of regret wishing I did something different to get them crucial extra points
for the constructors but we live and we learn. I enjoyed every bit of racing
alongside Rollie in the Alpine and I’m sure we will both bring a great battle
to the Alfas in Brazil for that constructors trophy.”
Rianc has been very modest and understanding about his
teammate Rollie, which makes me even more embarrassed 😁He has a chance of
claiming WCC with Alpine and his second medal this season if he wins and receives a bit of
extra points support from his teammate Rollie in last race.
Haggisnt’s pace was intimidating to others, for how
competitive he can be in a better car next season. Valward has reached his
first podium which he possibly didn’t expect to come here, when Gordini had a
puncture in last turn last lap and ended up in the wall.
Vithjalmen in his AT reached P4, which made him climb to P3
in WDC, above his countryman Rothnz and has a chance of reaching his first
medal going into the season finale. He was followed by Selecta in McLaren,
trying to limit damage to his team after Gordini’s retirement. Dan finished P6
and brought the fight to Rollie, Altan and Valward for P10 in WDC. Burtay
followed him in seventh in Mercedes. Tbran wildcarded for Altan in Aston and
brought him very important points, to give him a hope of finishing the championship above Rollie. Cajoco seemed to have trouble here and
settled for P9, but this still brought him to P2 in WDC, where Rothnz was
missing. Mrmccann was leading the pack at some point during SC exit, but
settled for P10 after an incident costing him a wing, but still had a good battle with Rollie for a
few laps. Gordini is classified as 11th after retiring dramatically in last lap, while he
was about to reach podium. He was followed by Butcher in Ferrari who got rid of
his eggplant and reached his best result this season. Behind him was Sir Ibbo
in Redbull who was once more the last driver alive on track.
Rollie eggplanted himself after an unexpected error at an
unexpected point. Kingdom retired in pits due to technical failure.
LOI_Idyllanno was reserving in Williams and had good pace but caused himself
and Keon an eggplant after spinning at the entry to stadium section. Jonboi
unfortunately retired very early in race once more.
We are heading to %100 length season finale in Brazil, with
the intense fight for all the medals except P1 is going on!
